2005 WISDOM SPRING, INC. NewsletterFebruary 1, 2005WISDOM SPRING, INC. 2005 Newsletter
Dear Friends and Family:
Welcome to this earth year of 2005. I pray that your year has started well and that you are taking care of yourself. Since the year 2000, I have been looking for a device to slow the years down long enough to do all I wish to do without rushing or going crazy. Well, I have not succeeded yet. Since this is a fire Millennium, everything seems to be going at light speed so caring for the self is crucial. Still I am grateful for all that each year brings – the challenges, growth as well as the good and fun times. Last year Wisdom Spring, Inc. was blessed by an official recognition by the IRS as a Not For Profit Organization. We were fortunate enough in the past years to have Consortium for Young Women act as our shelter for donation. Our gratitude goes to Kalamu Chaché for this generosity. Young people have always been an important part of my life and work. There is such an important need to help young people dream big and that is what we, at Wisdom Spring, worked on last year. We supported fifteen dedicated teenagers from the Loudoun County in Virginia spearheaded by Kristen Karinshak of Heritage High School take on a challenge to raise $50,000 to dig wells in Africa. A Walk for Water was born out this idea to meet the goal and $53.000 were raised. Thank you all for helping make this dream a reality. This year the teenagers’ goal is to raise $100.000 for more wells, to build schools and put health care systems in place in Africa. We hope you will join us again. In a few days, a few members of Wisdom Spring and several other people will join me to dig our first wells in Africa. Our intention is to dig a few wells with the money raised. I will also be presenting various workshops around the US and in Europe. I hope to see you at one of the events. For more information please go to: www.Sobonfu.com or www.walkingforwater.org.
May the blessings of the divine mother be with you and yours!

A LOOK AT 2005
In the indigenous Dagara people world-view, Earth is the element of home, unconditional love, abundance, self worth, identity (self and collective) and feeling that you are held and that you belong. As always, the first part of the year tends to be about ironing out issues surrounding the elemental year. As you can see, the transition between the mineral year (communication, memory and so on) with the Earth year happened in rather chaotic way, leaving most of us to wonder, where is our place in the world? When in the environment things are not right, mixing earth with mineral can only lead to disaster, as is the case with the unfortunate Tsunami. We pray for healing. If you are feeling ungrounded, homeless and if self-esteem, mother and insecurity issues are coming up, then you are in the right year. If these issues have been a theme in your life then this is the year to work on them and turn them around. See in your worst habits and wounds a new door way to freedom, health and prosperity. Make yourself a daily commitment note to iron out what you want to let go or see healed/change.Rekindle your relationship with the Earth.
