The School of Integrated Living (SOIL) is delighted to bring Sobonfu’s indigenous wisdom to the South Eastern United States again. We are looking forward to the power and beauty of our time together, honoring our grief, and building community. This is a transformational and soul-invigorating ceremony designed to break through our cultural barriers of grief.

There is a need to periodically feel and express grief in order to purge the soul from hurts and pains. The suppression and denial of emotion in general, and grief in particular, has been linked to spiritual drought, emotional confusion and certain illnesses we experience in our lives. To begin to regain a serious and lasting sense of connectedness with ourselves and with spirit, we need to find a proper place to release our grief.
Please join us for a weekend grief ritual with Sobonfu Somé. If you need information regarding local accommodations please contact us.
School of Integrated Living’s (SOIL) mission is to inspire and empower people to live responsible and creative lives by providing experiential education in integrated living and regenerative systems.
Based out of Western North Carolina at Earthaven Ecovillage, a 20 year-old intentional community devoted to sustainable education, SOIL offers a variety of experiential programs supporting adults to integrate their inner ecology with their outer ecology as a means to unfold their gifts and live an integrated life.
